Bring home a four-legged friend for the vacation with half-price adoptions

If you’re looking for the perfect four-legged friend to join your family, don’t miss ACTION Programs for Animals (APA) ‘s Home for the Holidays adoption special, which starts Thursday, November 25 and runs through. on January 1. .

With the exception of small dogs, all adoptions are reduced by 50% during this period.

To meet adoptable pets, visit the APA Adoption Center, 537 N. Solano Drive, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Saturday, or call 575-571-4654 to make an appointment. (The adoption center will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Years Day.)

Nora Insurriaga, director of the APA adoption center, said there were a lot of animals waiting for a home.

“Not only do we have many kittens available, but we also have some excellent dogs that have been trained under our Prisoners and Animals Working Toward Success (PAWS) program while waiting for a home,” Insurriaga said. “Come visit us for our special Home for the Holidays offer to take advantage of half the adoption fees.”

Online Vacation Auction

APA’s Second Chance Thrift Store will be hosting an online auction in partnership with Mesilla Valley Estate sales in two blocks: November 24 to December 1 and December 1 to 8.

Each auction block will include 125 items, including jewelry, artwork, and a wide range of holiday gifts. The minimum bid will be 99 cents.
