Donna D’Errico has a love for animals that began when she was growing up in Georgia and Alabama as a child.

Donna said she grew up in the south where she hung out by the lake near her home and walked in the nearby woods because she didn’t have many friends growing up.

“I loved watching the animals, they were so beautiful,” said the blonde bombshell who was on Baywatch and Baywatch Night from 1996 to 1998.

“If there was a bird that needed help, I would save it and bring it back to the wild.”

As an adult, the Kiss The Bride actress began to save senior dogs in need of help.

“I always chose the one who wasn’t a special breed or who wasn’t the prettiest because I knew they needed help and was happy to do it,” said Donna.

“A lot of people want puppies because they’re so cute. But I wanted to help those who were ignored. And I think the dogs are thankful, they know they’ve been helped, and in return, they’re very loyal.

D’Errico said she kept the animals until they died.

Throughout her life, she says she adopted around seven rescued senior dogs.

A dog has come from Linda Blair of fame from The Exorcist who is leading a rescue herself.

After Donna’s mother died another family member passed away, then a rescue dog went to dog heaven the same year Donna took a break from bringing rescue dogs.
