The Nebraska Women’s Golf Team plans to put the finishing touches on a precious fall season when the Huskers travel to Nassau, Bahamas for the White Sands Intercollegiate (October 22-24).
The three-day tournament at the Ocean Club Golf Course in Atlantis features seven teams, including Iowa, Campbell, Florida International, Mercer, Northern Illinois and hosts Miami as well as the Huskers. The teams will face off on a 6,415 yard par 72 course at the Ocean Club in three rounds. Each day will begin with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. CT.

Nebraska, which is one of four White Sands Intercollegiate teams (Campbell, Mercer, Miami) that qualified for the 2021 NCAA regional game, just posted their best tournament performance of the fall with a second place on a team of 13 at the Dale McNamara Invitational in Oklahoma (October 11-12).
Nebraska’s 284 (-4) final round was the best of the season and saw the Huskers close the 54-hole tournament at 872 (+8). Vanessa Bouvet led the Big Red with their third consecutive top 10 of the fall, tied for sixth at 215 (-1).
Megan Whittaker added a career-high 215 (-1) to tie Bouvet for sixth individual. Senior Kirsten baete also continued his solid game throughout the fall, finishing tied for 14th at 219 (+3). All nine players from Nebraska travel to the Bahamas, including a trio of golfers who won individual titles this fall – Michaela vavrova (Stampede at The Creek), Lindsey Thiele and Nicole hansen (Marilynn Smith / Sunflower Invitational).
