Petco Love invites animal adopters to help reward animal welfare organizations across the country with $1 million in vital funds this holiday season

By sharing their pet’s love story, adopters can help the organization they adopted receive a $100,000 award a prize and win a $1,000 Petco Shopping Spree

SAN ANTONIO, September 7, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Petco Lovein partnership with BOBS from Skechersinvites pet adopters to share how their pets have changed their lives in the annual report Petco Love Stories grant campaign. This holiday season, Petco Love will celebrate the best love stories by awarding $1 million in vital funds to more than 100 qualified animal welfare organizations across the country. By September 20pet adopters can share their love stories to help the organization they adopted receive grants ranging from $1,000 for $100,000. Adopters with winning stories will also receive a Petco shopping spree and BOBS shoes from Skechers.

Petco Love, in partnership with BOBS from Skechers, invites pet adopters to share how their pets have changed their lives to help the organization they adopted receive a grant of up to $100,000. Adopters can submit their love stories at petcolove.org/lovestories by September 20, 2021, noon CDT.

“Bigger smiles, more comfortable naps and a warmer welcome every time you walk through the door – the love we share with our pets changes everything,” said Susanne Kogut, president of Petco Love. “Each year, we read thousands of heartwarming stories that illustrate the life-changing power of pet adoption. Through this annual campaign, we celebrate that love and give back to hardworking animal welfare organizations that save animal lives and make these adoption matches possible.”

Adopters can submit their love stories to petcolove.org/lovestories by September 20, 2021at noon CDT. Stories should highlight how pets have changed their of the adopter life for the better, in big and small ways. Submissions must include four photos to illustrate the story and may also include a video. Visit the love story website for more information, including a full list of awards and submission FAQs, and for inspiration from last year’s winning stories. This year’s winners, including the grand prize $100,000 winner of the grant award, will be announced at special celebrations throughout the holiday season.

Since 2013, more than 20,000 adopters have shared their stories with Petco Love, helping to reward more than $5.8 million to animal welfare organizations across the country to save even more animal lives.
