VETCBD, Best Friends Animal Society Partnership to Alleviate Shelter Stress

Press release: VETCBD

Veterinarian-founded cannabis company VETCBD recently announced an 18-month partnership with Best Friends Animal Society to support animals and help the national animal welfare organization achieve its goal of ending the slaughter of shelter pets by 2025. As a CBD partner of the non-profit organization, VETCBD will provide its hemp-derived CBD oil to Best Friends and its network partners, helping thousands of animals in the process.

Best Friends is the latest beneficiary of VETCBD’s One Fur One program – for every dye purchased, the company donates a dye to a rescue organization.

Cali Best Friends Animal“VETCBD has always worked to help as many animals as possible,” said Dr Tim Shu, founder and CEO of VETCBD. “Research shows that CBD can help relieve occasional stress and discomfort, and we believe using cannabinoid therapy in a shelter will increase the odds of adoption for animals that might otherwise be overlooked.”

Best Friends runs rescue programs across the country, as well as the nation’s largest kill-free wildlife sanctuary. Working in conjunction with a network of over 3,300 animal welfare and shelter partners, and community members across the country, Best Friends is working to save them all.

“Through our partnership with VETCBD, many shelter animals across the country will benefit from the calming effects of its products,” said Candi Maciel, director of corporate partnerships at Best Friends Animal Society. “It’s not only healthy for the animal – stable energy is very attractive to potential adopters and should help more animals find good homes. It’s a winning combination. “
